Blonde wheat ale. Brewed with organic wheat malt, organic pale malt, vienna malt. Hopped with Magnum, Amarillo & Cascade (dry hop).

330ml bottle from Drinkstore. Cloudy, hazy blonde, huge rocky white head, lasts ages. Big wheat nose, some estery banana, leather and clove spice. Flavour is intense, big blast of tangy saison yeast, very spicy indeed too, lots of dry lemon zest and pithy notes. Light bodied, but only needs to be due to the big flavour. Fizzy, with a hit of alcohol warmness which is surprising for the ABV. Finish is a bit more mellow, banana sweetness with a little background grapefruit bitterness. They dont mess around these lads.

Bottle and keg at l mulligan grocer.
Bottle: pours hazy peach with spumey light head. Malt notes and potential yeast esters on nose give way to tart NS-like gooseberry on the nose as it warms. Fairly high carbonation, plenty of hop fruits, soft palate, quite warming, semms saison like though apparently US05.
Keg: much cleaner tangerine andelon on nose. Hazy burnished gold, tight white head. Fresh citrus character with a pithy kick toward the finish.

33cl bottle. Hazy blond with huge white head and plenty of lacing. Aroma gives loads of orange peel, hay, spruce, Belgian saison-like yeastiness, lemon zest, grapefruit juice. Taste is pure Tropicana Ruby Breakfast juice - lovely bitter grapefruit and deep juicy orange. Lots of nice wheaty stuff happening, some breadiness, spices, pithy lemon, loads of bitter zesty grapefruit. Full mouthfeel. Seriously dry finish, lingering saison yeastiness along with grapefruit and lemon zest. Another great brew from BPBP. /// UPDATE: just learned that this is in fact brewed with an American Ale Yeast and that the saison-like flavours are all down to the fermentation method...fascinating and delicious stuff.
