On draught at the brewpub in downtown Rhinelander, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-clear dark copper amber beer with a fast dissolving off-white head that leaves behind a thin film top and off-white ring. Aroma of roasted dark malt, some brown sugar, maple syrup, roasted nuts and a touch of pear. Taste is medium bodied, some light carbonation with flavors of dark caramel malt, maple syrup and some toffee. Finish is semi-sweet, malty with a little maple syrup and multi-grain pancake aftertaste. Quite the breakfast flavored beer.
