Growler from brewery. Pours a hazy copper with a full white head, and excellent lacing on the glass. The aroma is full of malts, with a slight hint of caramel. The flavor is full of toasted malts, a few spices, and a sweet caramel finish. Very clean and enjoyable.

Draft sample at brewpub. Poured hazy copper color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate toasted malt aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Medium toasted balanced flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable brew.

UPDATED: OCT 5, 2009 9/15/07 - Pours amber with a mostly receding off-white head. Aroma is lightly bready, toasted malt, and grainy. Taste is bready, crackers, with a slightly harsh grainy/husky finish. Overall a very drinkable and enjoyable Octoberfest, but it wish it had a slightly more rounded palate, with a little more sweetness and less harsh graininess.

UPDATED: OCT 18, 2005 Draft - amber bodied with a beige head. Looks like an Oktoberfest! Spicy hops are a bit more in focus in this one than in most Nice malt backbone comes to the fore as you get into the glass. A very nice beer!
