Been sitting on this for over a year, bottle says vintage 2007. Very carbonated, pours a cloudy golden orange, with a big creamy off white head, excellent lacing. The aroma is hops, citrus balanced with a malt, nutty toffee. The initial flavor is bitter hops and a burnt toffee.

Looks like they are shipping the left-overs to Sam’s to get rid of it. Orange color with a big, bubbly, foamy,. off-white head. Little, but a some citric scents. Light caramel and toffee flavors in the start mix with some light orange citric hops in the middle. Quite light and a bit airy in feel. Looking at the bottle, I must say it is a bit scary to look at. I catch some vegetable scents as I take may last swig, especially celery. Fairly thin in feel. Some decent flavors, but too thin in feel and the aroma is weak for a IIPA.

650ml bottle from soonah. 2008 vintage indicated on the bottle. Bottle is a gusher, overactive carbonation makes this nearly impossible to pour. It takes me ten minutes to pour a glass. Cloudy copper amber color with a big rocky off-white head. The aroma is moderate in strength with a grapefruit, weeds, caramel and a bit of something sharp. The flavor has a harshly biter grapefruit flavor with caramel, pine and peppery spices. The finish is short in duration with lingering harsh dry bitterness. The mouthfeel is disjointed, starting thin and finishing chewy, the carbonation is overactive. Overall: This is not a bad beer once you get it too settle down. But, it reminds me more of a passable home-brew than a proper craft product. Still I am glad for having had the chance to try it as the brewery is now gone.

Oh, man. This might be a great beer to try, but every time I pour just a little bit the head comes up over the top of the glass. Way too much head on this. It’s off white, rocky and very thick, taking a long time to dissipate. Great lacing. I’m a bit mixed about it: it’s neat but too much, a 4. Nose of grapefruit. Taste of grapefruit. Some hops and bitter too. Decent.

Light ,spicey ,grainey hop aroma,a little caramel pudding on the backside, taste, a very big mouthful of Big Daddy Sucker and tangy spicey hops,a little bigger then medium bodied, enough malt body to make the Imperial label legit. Doesnt say anywhere on the bottle that its an IPA,more a big American Pale Ale, label says 2008,tastes fairly fresh, well made

Interesting. I just picked this up this bomber from a "new" brewery at the Wise Guys in Merrillville, IN, a couple of weeks ago, and the place goes out of business before I get to rate it. It pours a clear orange/amber body with a respectable head and plenty of thick lacework. The aroma is hoppy - earth, bitter grasses, and some grapefruit - covering some light caramel scents. The flavor packs more power, a sturdy hop bitterness almost matched by the sweet caramel backbone. The finish is dry, peppery, and bitter. Not bad but, despite the stronger alcohol content, it comes across more like a regular IPA than a DIPA.

Bottle thanks to 505flavours. Alround rating: Lots of caramel and caramalt, lots of bittering grassy hops, some citrusy character too. I dont really know what to say here, its drinkable stuff enough but just lacking the excitment i generally expect from such an ale.

Pours with a ton of head. Aroma is nice and malty. Very tasty. Lots of caramel. Quite good. Another “I only bought one bottle” situation. And the brewery went out of business.
