Taste the same with bitter finish: I would have thought a she devil would have a bolder spicerier taste... BeerVirgin72 (778), Pataskala, Ohio, USA

My notes say this "Very hoppy and blucky" so I am guessing I did not care for this one...Which is not surprising since I am not a hop fan or an IPA fan. sliffy (1967), Columbus, Ohio, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 4, 2007 Bottle, Pours a nice copper color with a thin head, A lot of green aromas, citrus, grassy notes. Taste starts sweet initially, finishes dry with plenty of resin, spice and orange citrus notes. There is something different about this IIPA and it could be because its a bit lighter on the malts, and the hops are of greener in taste than many others. Pours pleasant orange with medium head, nothing spectacular. As others have said, lots of pineapple to the nose to go along with the obligatory punch of hops. Somewhat oily mouthfeel. Flavor comes in strong and fades fast to a rather insubstantial bitterness; there is no between here, just a start and a finish. A fine IPA but not a repeat purchase. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 2, 2007 22oz bottle: poured orange with a medium sized off white head. Moderate fresh cut grass aroma. Mild citrus and pineapple. Flavor is all hops: pine, citrus, grassiness. The finish is a little drier than I would have liked. Only slight sweetness on the tongue and it leaves quickly. Mild pepper also. Good. npdempse (931), St. Petersburg, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 4, 2007 Dark amber, with a smallish white head that leaves a good lace. Nose is totally hops--resiny pine, grapefruit rind, and a bit of cannabis. Flavor is similarly hop dominated--crazy amounts of bitter citrus, a touch of fresh-cut grass, but it’s balanced pretty nicely by a toffeeish malt backbone. merlin48 (511), New Tazewell, Tennessee, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 3, 2007 22 oz bottle purchased at The Keg in Clarksville, Indiana. Pours a hazed orange amber body with a small offwhite head. Medium body and carbonation. Pungent aroma of citrusy orange and mango with caramel and pepper notes. Taste is well balanced, with the bitter citrusy hops getting a slight edge over the sweet caramel maltiness. Alcohol is well concealed. Finishes with a peppery bite. Very impressive.
