COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Golden in color with an effervescent thick, white creamy head, our Belgian Golden Strong Ale is complex and powerful at 9.5% abv. A fruity pineapple and banana flavor with a faint clove aroma is pleasantly dominant from the Belgian yeast strain that we brew this style with.
Malts: Two Row Pale, Pilsen & Flaked Wheat
Hops: Mt. Hood

On draught at the brewpub. Arrived a hazy gold with a thin-moderate linen white head that lasted through the first two sips and left scant lace. Very pleasant fruity aroma of Belgian yeast. The flavor is malt with fruity Belgian yeast. A touch of fruit sweetness as well. Very mild bitterness at the finish. Fiarly smooth and well rounded on the palate. Medium bodied. Excellent.

(Sample Date: 4/10/2010 Source:Other) Glass at the Troy pub. Peach pear fruitiness with sugar notes in aroma with spicy yeast phenolics. Clear deep golden with small lacy white head. Flavor follows aroma with candi sugar notes and peppery yeast character. Bit sweet and a little more complexity would be nice.

On tap @ BCTC 2009. Pours a deeper gold. Very strange BBQ bacon like aroma. On the other hand the taste was fruity, floral, raspberry sweetness. One of the stranger beers of the day IMO.
