MartinT (4475), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Apr 29, 2004 Phenolic cherry syrup and watered-down citrus fruit acidity...Muddy, dirty yeast battling with a thin fruit powder...This tastes like it was forgotten in the attic and recovered a few years too late... muzzlehatch (4429), Burlington, Vermont, USA Apr 26, 2006 Draught sample at the brewpub. Clear reddish-pink-amber with no real head and a maraschino cherry bobbing at the bottom of the glass.....pleasant nose shows distinctive qualities of both named fruits, fresh and nicely balanced between sweet syrupy sugariness and sour/tart acidity....light alcohol/medicinal character in the body which actually helps the thin mouthfeel to seem more lively, hints of rusty iron, licorice and sour fruits....lactic feel towards the end combined with oily gooiness doesn’t quite work....some interesting stuff here, but it doesn’t really gel into success. jcwattsrugger (4272), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Aug 16, 2006 on tap-pours a tan head with cloudy copper color. Aroma is fruit. Taste is cherry/raspberry, malt, secondary hop with a slight bite. Good carbonation.
tiggmtl (4196), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Apr 27, 2004 Not overly pleasant fruit aroma. Murky brown colour with little head that dissipates completely. Fruit flavours are dominant without much malt character to support. Medium-light body with very nice mouthfeel. Bottle. goldtwins (3754), Nesconset, New York, USA Dec 10, 2007 Tap @ the brewpub. Poured a slightly hazed copper color with a cherry in the bottom of the glass. Off-white head. The aroma was light and malty more than fruity. where is the raspberry? Way too light. The flavor had malty caramel with a touch of cherry in the middle. Dry mildly bitter finish..
