Rastacouere (5421), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Feb 17, 2008 Hazy copper, lacy off-white head. Leafy, hoppy nose, but not very clean. Soapy, orangey hop aromas. Timid crystal malts. Plasticy in the finish. The malts simply are not very convincing. As a result, there’s a fair bit of hoppiness, but it bathes around nothingness. MartinT (4475), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Dec 18, 2007 My Bottom Line:
Whispering hop leafiness expands into earthy and citrusy personalities, leading to a moderately coniferous bitterness. This is surprisingly mellow and not quite balanced for the style.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A film of foam floats atop the glowing orange.
-The nose is not as expressive as it should be for the style.
-Again, the body is rather lean and the carbonation prickly.
-Some fragile honeyed maltiness roams below, apparent only because the hops are not very talkative today.
On tap at the brewpub. jcwattsrugger (4272), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Aug 16, 2006 on tap-pours a thin white head with cloudy yellow color. Aroma is faint hops. Taste is lots of biting tart hops, faint malt. Good carbonation. goldtwins (3754), Nesconset, New York, USA Dec 10, 2007 Tap @ the brewpub. Poured an almost clear copper color with an off-white head. Mild citrus and earthy hop aroma. The flavor had a caramel start with with a moderately citrus middle. Long bitter finish. Semi-dry and an almost medium body. How: Tap at brewpub. Jul 2006 (2.4/5). Re-sampled Dec 2007 (same score)
The look: Partly cloudy orange body with a small off-white head
In long: A little citrus and cat litter on the nose. Minimal maltiness. A little juicy citrusy hops essence. Short finish. Mild bitterness. Lean, almost watery body. As inspired as a slice of white bread and margarine.
