Commercial Description:
Brown’s Porter is among the finest examples of this English style ale you’ll find anywhere. Robust, smooth, intense and brewery-fresh every time, we build this confident and distinctive Porter with pound upon pound of domestic two-row pale, crystal and chocolate malts. Balanced complement is provided by Willamette bittering hops with Cascade at the finish.

Dark brown, almost black in color witha tan head. Aroma of chocolate, a touch roasty with some light chalk. Taste is chocolate, very mildly roasty, with some molasses and mild floral hops. Light to medium bodied- finishes lightly bitter. Pretty nice.

Dark brown-black body without much head. Thick caramel, brown sugar, soap, too much bad hops. Not only was it so-so but also it was hardly a Prter. Two things I’ll never find: the Trojan horse from the Greek Troy and a good Porter in this NY Troy.

Tap @ brewpub: relatively thin black body. Aroma is roasted coffee with hints of chocolate. Also the aroma came off as slightly weak or watery. Flavor is the same with some hints of caramel, slightly bitter finish. Overall a pretty weak porter.
