Skyview (3142), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Jul 19, 2007 Sampled on draught at the brewpub restraunt in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Pours a clear brownish amber brew with a creamy and thick off-white head that slowly dissolves and leaves behind an excellent lacing. Aroma of sweet caramel malt, roasted nuts, a touch of buttery and some flowery hops. Taste is smooth, medium bodied with a sweet caramel and roasted nut flavor. Finish is light, slightly sweet and then a clean aftertaste. jcwattsrugger (4272), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Jul 7, 2007 on tap-pours a white head and amber color. Aroma is very sweet dark fruit-medium malt. Taste is sweet dark fruit-medium malt, secondary hops bite, faint smoky. Medium body. Good effervescence up front. BrewSquid (45), Plattsburg, Missouri, USA Sep 8, 2006 This is not even a beer . . . it is a mixed drink! ! ! It is a mixture of two beers. The bartender mixes equal parts of Helles Bock lager and Nut Brown ale. Thus this is neither an ale nor a lager. And since the mix can vary from bartender to bartender, the taste can also vary from glass to glass. This mix was apparently created just to lure the A-B Amberbock crowd. harlequinn (2746), Tacoma, Washington, USA Jun 4, 2006 I have to say, that I almost like the Michelob version of the same name better than this one. Roasted and acidic, with some chocolate and truffles. But this is not a bock style at all. Not even close. Sham (1846), Seattle, Washington, USA May 2, 2006 Dark brown, foamy head, and sticky lace. Chocolatey and a little roasty. A touch buttery. Flavor is a little more roasty than the nose, luckily there were no buttery off tones. Light in the mouthfeel with a cocoa finish.
