BrewSquid (45), Plattsburg, Missouri, USA Sep 8, 2006 A very drinkable, enjoyable nut brown ale. Not a session ale but worth repeating.
jake65 (1355), Meridian, Idaho, USA Aug 1, 2007 Draft at brewpub - the most popular house brew according to the bartender. Pours a rich chestnut brown with a large beige head. Nice lacing. Aroma of toasted malt, nuts, and toffee. Flavor remains solid of maltiness, light roast, nuttiness, and light florals. Pretty darn good; I can see why the locals are hooked on this one. Skyview (3142), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Jul 19, 2007 Sampled on draught at the brewpub restraunt in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Pours a dark cola caramel color brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that leaves behind a thin ring. Aroma of sweet caramel malt, with scents of bubblegum, candi sugar, roasted nuts and flowery hops. Taste is medium bodied, very light carbonation, with toasted smoked caramel malt and some light flowery flavors. Finish is smooth and semi-dry with a smoked and toasted nut aftertaste. A terrific brown ale and please pass the roasted peanuts. jcwattsrugger (4272), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Jul 7, 2007 on tap-pours a thin off white head and deep mahogany color. Aroma is dark malt-some sweet. Taste is dark malt-roasty/chocolate, some sweet, nutty, faint hops bite. Somewhat dry finish. OK effervescence. harlequinn (2746), Tacoma, Washington, USA Jun 4, 2006 Pours and tastes like it look, dark brown and cola like. Fizzy tan soda head. LIght and nutty, with a creamy mouthfeel.
