Bottle. Mitchell’s Wines, Sheffield, for the princely sum of £1.25. Clear, dark copper colour. Small, dense, light beige head. Aroma of caramel. Dried vine fruits. A bit nutty. Taste is fruity sweet. Thin body. Finishes more of the same, with a dry close. Not for me.

Pale amber pour with a sticky tan head. The nose is slightly hoppy and a bit minerally. Has a nice leafy/earthy hop aroma and a little bit of sweet malt aroma as well. There’s a moderate bitterness on the finish as well as a bit of lingering bitterness. Really nice combination of malt and UK hoppiness. I like this.

Bottle. Amber beer with a strong frothy white head. The aroma is bitter with a touch of toffee, and the flavour is gently roasted with bitterness and toffee. Overall a nice toffee flavoured bitter and roasted beer.
