Geruch leicht röstig. Im Geschmack ebenso. Wenig bitter, das hängt aber nach. Lecker trotzdem.

UPDATED: JUN 7, 2014 4.2% 500ml bottle. Full bodied, fizzy decent traditional Irish red with some of its own characteristics. Decent head. Slightly burnt flavour but nicely balanced. Nice beer

Clear mahogany with a large head. Fruity aroma, light toast. Flavour is toasted malt, brown sugar in an unexpected sharp hop base. Unusual and nice.

Bottle at home from drinkstore
pale amber brown with foamy cream head. Dry fruity aroma with some malt and caramel. Moderate carbonation, pleasing digestive biscuit and a dry bitter finish. Unlike what I was expecting and very moreish. (had on cask at weekend but oxidized so did not rate but this is ideal for cask)

Liamrua (26) - Waterford, IRELAND - MAR 8, 2014
UPDATED: MAR 9, 2014 500ml bottle from Centra, Borris. Pours ruby amber with a large frothy 2 finger head with good lacing. Aroma is hoppy with malt and biscuit. Light carbonation on the tongue, roasted malt and biscuit flavour with a nice balanced lingering bitterness. A bit too hoppy to drink more than 1.

Better than the Ri IPA they came out with. Was expecting a sweet malty interpretation of the style given what they did with the IPA, but this had more of a hop presence than I thought it would. Lovely ruddy red color, large white head that stayed throughout. Aroma of juicy floral hops, bread, nuts, hay. Taste is spicy hops up front with a solid, if not overly sweet, malt backbone. Nothing to get excited about overall, fairly boring and uninspired product.

stravale (2062) - Near Carrick-on-Shannon, IRELAND - FEB 17, 2014
Bottle from Supervalu, Longford [170214]
Copper amber, clear, frothy off white head that dissipates
Aroma of grassy hop, caramel malts, touch of red berry underneath, cereal
Taste of fairly bitter grassy hop, fruity caramel malt, touch of red berries, some bitter orange zest
Palate - Soft carb. medium body, bitter zest with some light sweet fruity caramel malts. Finish - fairly bitter citrus zest, bitter grass, little dry, lingering bitter finish
Overall - This is a hoppy take on an Irish Red and it’s better than a lot of them

From a bottle. Poured ruby red with a foamy white head. Very grassy and malty in aroma. Suprisingly hoppy in taste. Quite dry and grainy. Nicer the more you get into it. Not bad at all. Wasnt expecting it to be as hoppy. Quite different in that respect to most reds.
