Deep dark clear brown ale with pleasant butterscotch aroma. Sweet candy sugar taste with alcohol warmth, notes of raisins and prunes. Lighter but good. On tap at Bru, February 4, 2005.

a pleasant beep brown ale with an aroma of chocolate-y malts and hardwood (not peat) smoke. it is relatively sweet and light body, making it reasonably drinkable, although the sweetness is a little unbalanced.

Clear dark brown with a non-existing head. Aroma purely of nuts and coffee, not a bad thing, just not true to the style. Bitter chocolate and coffee flavours roam in the taste as well as a slight nuttiness. Aftertaste clean, not much going on at all. Overall, a decent scotch ale, not amazing, but worth trying if you are here at the brewpub! I had this on draught at the brewpub in Rochester, New York on 13-March-2004.
