Bottle shared at Chrisso’s May 2014 tasting 25/05/2014. Picked up on the Bamberg Jolly. Aroma is nutty malts, some staling, wheat and hazel nuts, some mineral. Hazed golden yellow coloured pour with a lasting white head. Some berry in the nose as well. Flavour is composed of nutty, sem-stale malts, earthy, and some beans. Some spicy hop in the finish. Palate is semi-crisp, semi-sweet. moderate carbonation.

Tasting at the ever gracious ChrisO’s. Hazy gold beer, tidy white head. Palate is light and airy, fine carbonation. Very airy dry creamy malt. Touch of seltzer. Light airy finish. Dull!

Scopey (6868) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 25, 2014
Bottle at Chriso. It pours hazy golden with a medium white head. The nose is sweet, doughy, grass, must, hay, straw and buttered toast. The taste is crisp, doughy, grass, earth, hay, light bitterness, grain, cereal, dried fruits and underlying sweetness with a short finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Not bad.

TAR (2497) - Lafayette, Colorado, USA - APR 10, 2013
Draught at Brauerei Bruckmüller in Nov. 2012: Pale straw. Thin, fragmented white foam. Unpleasant DMS aromas accompany hints of fusel alcohol, flowers, spruce tips, and melon. Firm, fairly fuzzy carbonation. Semi-sweet honeyish hay upfront, but nicely bright and slick with succulent and soothing Hallertauer nectar. Vaguely husky with a hint of popcorn poking through, otherwise has a nice mineral component and a subtle lemony acidity. Cooked corn DMS deposits tacky residue on the tongue, neutralizing any luster that might arise. Soft finish is riddled with grainy and flabby pils malt, which is suggestive of stale popcorn, and a dose of wet hay. The lovely water quality and lemony dimension tells me that this has some potential, but this batch was somewhat defective to my tastes.
