Bottled at OPP. Mild malty nose. Pale fast disappearing head. Clear dark brownish colour. Malty and mild hopped taste. Some hints of licorice in the taste. Not very sweet. At the end some hoppiness.

Bottled (from meinbiershop.de). Very much deep ruby red withh mediumsized off-white to beige head. Aroma is caramel malts, fruits, some mild wood and resin as well. Flavour is caramel malts, mild sweet fruity notes along with raisins, which then turns into a floral and fruity sweet raisiny finish,

(Bottle, 0.5 l, at One Pint Pub, 20110815) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, molasses and grass. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, mild sourness, grass, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was mildly sour, malty and bitter. Nice maltiness and unpleasant sourness.

Tap at brewery. Dark brown-mahogany color. Almost opaque with great off-white foamy head and lacing. Rich brown bread and bread crust aromas. Fairly high carbonation, a bit on the fizzy side. Great dark bread and crust flavors, nuttiness too. Mild bitterness in the finish. Too fizzy but otherwise very good.
