Bottle: Very deep golden to copper coloured and clear, stable white foamy layer; solid fruity bitter nose with distinctive traces of nuts and nut-oil; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium to full bodied and really soft; lingering nutty-caramelly finish, rounded by a good dash of hops. Extremely well rounded, aromatic Doppelbock. Deserves the name Super(b)ator......

Bottle from mein-biershop.de. Dark golden color with small white head. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel. Taste, sweet malty with fruity hints, caramel, alcohol. Nice bitterness in fruity finish. Good.

Bottled (from bierzwerg or meinbiershop, can remember right now) . Deep amber colour with not too much head. Aroma is caramel, burnt sugar and some sweet hoppyness. Flavour is sweet malts, burnt sugar, some sweet riped fruity notes along with mild wood. Aftertaste is sweet malts, burnt sugar, wood and some mild herbal notes. Nice flavour compared to the aroma.

Bottle. Dark golden, small and fully diminishing light brown head. Moderate malty and caramel sweet aroma, light fruitiness and bread with light alcohol. Medium, malty and caramel sweet flavor, light fruitiness and light bread, faint alcohol. Finish is average, malty and sweetish, some caramel and light fruitiness, light bread and faint hoppyness, some alcohol. Caramel sweet doppelbock.

Thanks to Koelschtrinker for that one. Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass deep golden, nice head. Starts strong, but not alcoholic. Fine spicy, not too dry, modest sweet background. Finish well balanced, wonderful spicy-wheaty. I loved it!

Clear golden color, small white head. Light alcohol, grassy, grainy aroma. Medium-bodied. Sweetish, malty, grassy caramelly. Quite moderate ator ... more like basic heller bock.

Süß-herber Antrunk wobei die Süße sich vor allem auf getreidige Noten bezieht. Hellmalziger und durch den Alkohol süßer Mittelteil mit wiederkehrenden herben Einschlägen. Erdig, die Süße nimmt zum Abgang ab und wird durch holzige Noten ersetzt. Wenig kratzig. Ausgewogener Abgang, erdig, Äpfel. 7/8/9/8/9/8

Light orange colored with medium sized yellow head. Sweet and fruity, even peachy aroma with cookie and some plummy tone, finely balancing hops with slight alcohol here as well, good one. Medium to full bodied. Flavor is also sweet with nice fruity and same peachy-plummy tone, grassy hops with warming mouthfeel, thin grains also here. Aftertaste is smooth with still sweet fruits here, excellent. Excellent, though not the most traditional doppelbock.

Bottled 50cl. It pours a clear copper beer with a nicely remaining lacing creamy light beige head. Caramel, dried apricots, pear, candy, apple and slight tobacco showing up in the nose. Grainy. Full bodied. Smooth. Good bitterness. Great balance. Caramel and pear in the finish. A flawless pale Doppelbock.

(bottle) Clear, deep golden colour with a thick and slightly tanned foamy head. Sweet and biscuity caramel-malty aroma with subtle fruity notes of pine apples and ripe pears. Sweet flavour with a delicate and balancing level of bitterness, full bodied with a well-matured, creamy carbonation. Rich cara-malty taste with notes of biscuits and a tinge of honey and fruits, accompanied by a delicate herbal hops character, gaining more weight towards the sweet and slightly bitter finish with a lasting aftertaste and well-masked alcoholic notes. Very balanced and quaffable pale Doppelbock. 28.II.11
