HoppenHeimer is a Kölsch-inspired five-hop brew (Northern Brewer, Hallertauer Mittelfrüh, Saaz, Cascade and dry-hopped with Amarillo), made with organic pils and munich malts. We call it a Hopfenkölsch. Used to be brewed at 7 Deugden.

0.33 l bottle from ’Tabak’s Wijndiscount & Bierwinkel’, best before November 2016. Clear, golden yellow with a huge, foamy, slowly diminishing, white head. Fruity-grassy, sligthly floral aroma of tangerine, pear, peach, straw, some honey and hints of pine. Sweetish-fruity, slightly grassy-floral taste of peach, tangerine, straw, some honey and hints of pine, followed by a short, medium bitter, yeasty, slightly grassy finish. Thin to medium body, smooth mouthfeel, very lively carbonation. Nice!

Pours a hazy orangey amber, topped with a big frothy off-white head, weak retention. Mildy fruity aroma, slightly musty and cellar-like. Mildly biscuity. Taste sweet and fruity. Peppery finish. Herbal with mild bitterness, a bit yeasty. Slightly soury in the finish. Easily drinkable and enjoyable.

Hazy orange colour. Hint of sweet orange in the aroma. Initial floral hoppiness rounding off with a creamy maltiness. Highly sessionable!

Bottle bought at Volkshotel drank at Sjoerds. Brewed at Naeckte Brouwers. Cloudy greyish golden with medium sized white head. Fresh baked white bread, strawberry lemonade, lime, raw vegetables (salad even), bitter herbs. Light sweet with some sourness and dry bitter finish. Very strange mouthfeel, hard to describe, like very sour powdered candy. Medium bodied. Unusual but not bad.

330 mml bottle tasted at home on 17/01/2014. The colour is a mix between orange and brown, strange colour for me. Soft carbonation and nice white head. The label is delightful!!!!

Hazy beige colour, white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, yeast and bread. Hop bitter flavour, malts, citrus and lemon zest. Finish hops and citrus peel. Quite nice!

Pretty nice. Tastes hoppy, fresh, peach, sweet, fruity.. Pretty nice! Thin to medium body, slightly fizzy carbo.
