11.2 fl. oz. bottle, approximately 1.5 years old when opened. Unlike most popular Belgian ales. Color is slightly hazy light brown. Very minimal, white head. Yeasty aroma. Almost no flavor is present except mild sourness. Light body matched with watery texture.

A nice beer. Have a very strong belgian aroma with lots of hops and malted barley. Appearance is nice and cloudy brown. Mouth feel is smooth and flavor is alright, a little bitter for a belgian ale."

Pours brown with a decent head. Nicely carbonated and refreshing. Tastes of hops, honey and caramel, with a mildly sour aftertaste.

Decent Belgian. Pour was a light to medium brown with no head. Aroma was honey and malt. Taste was sweet like a mix of honey, malt and yeast with not as much carbonation as most Belgians. Nice

Pours out a light brown, thin medium sized head. Caramel and sweetness on the nose. Watery mouthfeel with caramel, honey and maybe a bit of bitterness on the finish. Aftertaste isnt’ good

Bottle at St. Veronus. Very unimpressed by this one. Pale in colour and resembled nothing close to any Belgian I’ve tasted in my life. I suppose even the Belgians must have their swill, and this is how I imagine it would taste. I was unimpressed by the flavour, and the nose seemed non-existent to me. Not a terrible beer, but it kind of tasted like nothing to me. Not buying again.

Pasadena, CA. An off honey taste and aroma. Not very good. Bad for the Belgium reputation.

Bottle. Pours hazy orange amber with a big ivory head. The aroma is caramel and light sour fruit. The flavor is slightly sour with berries and brown sugar. Ok, but not spectacular.

33 cl bottle. Pours a clear amber with a moderate white head that was reduced to a thin ring after the first sip. Kind of funky aroma. There is some malt and caramel in the nose, but there is also stale aroma floating in there as well. Flavor is even worse. I may have to re-do my BMC ratings after this one, because this stuff is definitely worse than those. Absolute drain pour.

Bruegel Amber Ale 12 oz bottle Medium pour in an English pint glass Unknown bottling (29CD 14:27), beatified 01/07. Poured a bright fiery orange red with a frothy white mostly lasting head with a ring and layer of lacing. Very active carbonation. Smelt strongly of toffee, toasted wheat bread, corn syrup, caramel apples, white raisins in cinnamon bread, cola. Taste was upfront strong sweet and sour white raisins and ripe apple or spiced apple sauce, moderate wheat bread, light caramel sauce, a tinge of metallic feel, very light vinegar followed by a strong sour apple cider sourness, moderate honey sweetness and light yeasty dough on a long mostly sour finish. Palate was medium to light bodied, lively carbonated, watery onto a dry finish, some slight metallic feel. Overall, this is a satisfying light refreshing and flavorful Belgian amber. Easy yet subtly mystifying.
