Nice head and very sweet. Yeasty and malty. Make sure it is room temp. other wise it looses all flavor.

Winter touched raspberry joined together with may flowers; it is missing something, aroma of Belgium? Friendly appearance, light dull amber with fast disappearing white head. Yes, this one can wake up your tongue fast, sharp flavour, a bit watery feel. It gave me impression that it was diluted in ratio 2:3.

UPDATED: FEB 23, 2003 poured amber with a nice white head, aroma was of nutty/alcoholic tartness, fizzy to say the least, sweet alcohol/subtle cherriness...sparkling loveliness, subtle but spectacular...

Oily residue in the finish.
Straw color, white head.
Nice hop balance.
On the acidic (phenol) side for a Belgian.

A clear copper color on the pour, the head planetary, creamy, long lasting, the lace in massive sheets that cling to the end of the glass. Nose is malt, caramel, over ripe fruit sweetness also noticed. Start is lightly sweet, malt, top is slight, the finish is adequately hopped, acerbic, long lasting dry aftertaste. Ranks #821 on my current 1000 beer master list.

Bottle Conditioned. Yellow, huge carbonation - foam went everywhere. Light in comparison to the Augustijn which I sampled on the same evening. Pretty unreamarkable.

Not as strong in flavor or kick as I like Belgian ales to be. Decent all the same. Would have been a great beer had it had a bit more spiciness to it. The finish was a bit rough although bearable.
