COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bruegel is an easy drinking soft and tasty amber ale. Thanks to the refermentation it offers more body, more head and more taste than most other American and Belgian Amber ales. It is brewed with Dutch barley and German hops. Although the bitterness is clearly present, it is not dominant.

Bottle. Golden with sparse white head. Toasty golden syrup aroma and toffee. Some yeasty/toffee in the mouth, bit of boiled sweet. Finish has touch of hop, more toffee. Not a great golden/amber beer, but ok.

Cloudy amber body with big rocky beige head. Aroma is medium sweet, spicy, ginger, green tea, some orange, light anise, herbal. Taste is medium sweet, ginger, green tea, yeasty spicy, some earthy/herbal in the finish. Watery medium body, some acidity, bubbly. Interesting, but I’m not wholly sure I like it.

Bottled. Clear, sparkling, amber ale with a decent beige head. Strange aroma with some sour note, caramel and hops. The flavor is fruity and honey-like, with hops. Thin body and a finish with sweetness and fruityness. Strange, but not bad. The finish lasts long, with a fruity hoppiness. Strange, but not bad beer. (060807)

Bottle. [thank you, Yespr]
Pours clear golden copper with an okay, frothy white head - okay lacing. Aroma is very mild with a light touch of caramel. Okay mouthfeel, but a touch watery. Soft flavour, caramel and lightly tart. Generally, though, it is sweet and uncomplicated.

Tasting at my place. Courtesy of Fonefan. Nice warm amber color and the head is nice. The aroma is rather thin with light notes of malt, spice and apple. The flavour is thin too, it has notes of malt, spice and a dry grapefruit-like bitterness. Not really my taste.

Beer gushes out of the bottle while opening. Thick, creamy off-white head. Hoppy aroma with citrus. Cloudy appearance. Hoppy, citric flavor with a hint of metal, some yeast and licorice.

Aromas of caramel malt and fruit. Brilliant coppery color with a slight beige head that tries to lace. Light plummy flavor, followed by a sour component, and finishes slightly bitter and semi-dry. A really pleasant drink.

Bottled, 330ml. Golden amber colour with dissipating head. Enjoyable light refreshing Belgian Ale. Hints of clove with a touch of corriander in the flavour, nicely light and pale for a hoy afternoon, a good refreshing beer with few challenges.
