3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 mxtur (266) - Michigan, USA - MAR 14, 2011
Cloudy and bitter, but has a resin to it that helps balance it out. Good beer very easy to sip.
4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 18/20 TheBeerBaron (261) - Florida, USA - JUL 4, 2007
Dark amber color, thick tan head but no carbonation in the glass. Rose and grapefruit aroma blending with a mild hop scent in the end. Medium palate without the intense carbonation of many belgium styles. Lemon and citrus flavor combined with strong representations of wheat give Bruegel a rounded flavor. A mild but persistant taste of hops rounds out an excellently put together beer. This brand is largely unknown in the States but it should be tried.

Foggy amber lite brown. Aroma is on the fruity side, apples. Reminds me of Deschutes Hop Trip so Im liking it. However I think Hop Trip works a little better. Nice beer.

You can really smell the yeast at first sniff on this one as well as citrus. Pours a hazy amber color with little effervescence and equally small white, quick dissipating head. The flavor is interesting but not overly impressive. Could pass itself off as a grape (druif) or lemon lambic easily. Very biiter to the taste with dry finish. The mouthfeel is carbonated and vinegry. Not overly impressed.

I found this a fairly simplistic brew. Starts with a nice white head and deep brown colour. The nose and flavour are sweet, kind of rasin like. There’s a hint of sourness near the end and an awfully stron alcohol presence for a beer that only clocks in at 5% abv.
2.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 AGAquino (252) - San Juan, PUERTO RICO - JAN 1, 2010
330ml bottle from Brouwerij Van Steenberge sampler. Pours light amber with offwhite foamy head and nice lingering lacing. Aroma of sweet malt and dried fruit and figs. Flavor not as sweet as aroma hints at. Nice carbonation, slight bitter and dry finish.

bottle; amber clear with off-white head; aroma-caramel, floral, some yeast; taste-not that impressive to say the truth, mild sweetness, moderate bitterness, heavy carbonation. I am sad to say that with my eyes closed, it tastes like a very fizzy american lager.

Bottle from my variety 6. Poured light copper color with small head. Aroma of slight yeast and cornmeal. Not too much going on with this beer. Heavy carbonation with a dry finish. Not much flavor in between.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 sstackho (249) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 22, 2008
330mL bottle received as part of a Belgian gift pack at Christmas 2007 via the LCBO. Best before date in 2009. Pours a clear, medium gold with little head. Little aroma. First taste sensation is sparkling, although there is little carbonation seen. The sparkliness transforms into a moderate spiciness. A soft maltiness emerges as it warms.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 eve (240) - Iowa City, Iowa, USA - JAN 5, 2006
Honey-red pour, strong aroma of butterscotch and dried apricots, heavily malty with honey and caramel, faint hop flavor. Unusual for an amber, even a Belgian--the butterscotch was almost overwhelming, to me.
