11.2 oz bottle. Pours a nice amber color with almost no head. Smells very woody and fruity. Heavily carbonated with TONS of flavors. Kinda reminds me of a Sweet Tart candy or Red Bull. Quite tart but doesn’t dry out the mouth. Very nice.

11.2 oz bottle Pours a crystal clear amber with an off white head. Good lacing but didn’t last long. Aroma is good. Malty with just enough sweetness to make it very tempting. I get a touch honey and pears. Taste is very smooth. A light body with great flavors. The alcohol is well hidden. This is a very tasty beer. Two thumbs up.

UPDATED: APR 2, 2008 Pours obviously an amber colour, with a small beige head. The aroma is of caramalts, dried apricot, lots of sweet malts and other fruits as well. It actually smells really nice, like how an actual amber ale would/should. Tastes, odd, not bad, but it doesn’t make me say wow. It tastes like everything I listed above, with a bit of yeast, and a slightly hoppy/ metallic finish. Sweet, malty aftertaste. Unlike any other Belgian beer I’ve ever come across before, it’s sort of a blend of a Wit with an amber ale. The result is pleasant enough. Decent beer. It gets some bonus point for the neat-looking illustration on the bottle label.

Foggy amber lite brown. Aroma is on the fruity side, apples. Reminds me of Deschutes Hop Trip so Im liking it. However I think Hop Trip works a little better. Nice beer.

Reviewed from notes.
Pours a copper color with a white head. Decent amount of lacing as it goes down. Nose brings some nice orange zest as well as caramel. The taste is mildly sweet with caramel and toffee. Some citrus and orange, though not quite as much as the nose. Feel is a bit light with good carbonation. Ever so slightly dry. Drinks pretty well and another good offering from Van Steenberge.

UPDATED: MAR 6, 2011 11.2 oz bottle.
Pours a clear amber, true to its name, with a big fluffy white head that leaves a wall of lacing.
This one is similar to Biere du Boucanier red int he smell. Fruity Pebbles come to mind in the scent. There is a scant hoppiness underneath that provides a bit of balance to the sweet smell.
The flavor isn’t as fruity, rather a sweet but not overly so toffee tinged beer. It has rich caramel like flavors. The fruit is there in the flavor though, this one would go good with american hops.
This is a solid brew that is a worthy part of the mix pack from this brewery.

Pours amber with small off-white head. Smells super malty with some hoppiness and Belgian yeastiness. Taste is kind of funky but not sour, some bitterness and some sweetness, but overall not what a "Belgian ale" or "amber ale" should taste like. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and average mouth-carbonation, Bruegel Amber Ale finishes kind of unimpressively: average is the best I can think of for this.

Quite bitter but still sweet. The aroma is like sirup and so is the flavour. It’s a special beer with complezity and very differnet tastes.
