COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bruegel is an easy drinking soft and tasty amber ale. Thanks to the refermentation it offers more body, more head and more taste than most other American and Belgian Amber ales. It is brewed with Dutch barley and German hops. Although the bitterness is clearly present, it is not dominant.

Murky copper color with a large, frothy off-white head. The aroma and flavor were very subtle...apricot, sweet malt, clove, and citrusy hops. The feel was much like champagne...bubbly and soft. Nice session Belgian ale.

Medium amber color, large head. A lighter bodied amber ale. Lightly roasted malts, slightly hoppy. Somewhat spicy. Clean taste. Mild flavor. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is malty.

This beer poured an amber color with a thin head and a little lacing on the glass. The aroma is yeasty and sweet. The taste was malty and sweet. The malts stick with you throught the aftertaste. Very nice beer. I would love to have this one again.

Ok, let's start with this bottle... shot, squat and with a bulbous neck. The label has a weird scene on it. click on the pic of it above...go on, do it. ha, it's a tiny pic and you cen't see much. anyways, it's just a very odd scene. if i was trying to sell a beer i would have something interesting or cool on the bottle. i'm staring at the lable and i'm puzzled. anyways...i digress. this is Ratebeer, not Ratebottle. holy head, batman! this had a wicked frickin' huge head on it. an orangy bitterness pervades the taste and is good and refreshing at the same time.

UPDATED: JUL 9, 2005 Has sweet caramel overtones and a crisp finish. Substantial mouthfeel for a lower alcohol ale. Not earth shattering, but nice.

Dark reddish pour. Unfiltered look. Bubbly head. Herby gritty scent, a nice change from the usual sweet double and tripple scent. Very odd flavour. Somewhat ’Savoury’. A bit of sweetness. A tart blackberry like aftertaste. The more I drink the more distinct the taste becomes.

Golden tranlucent color, lemony scent. Taste is slightly malty, sour with a spicy citrusy scent. Not much hops to speak of. Dry palate.

Bottled Sample from MLCC. Another win for Belgian Ales. Am becoming quite fond of these.

Bottle. Nutty aroma. Excellent appearance, decent frothy head with a good carbonation level. Amber in colour. Leaves a cracking lacing around the glass as it goes down. Honey bitter but not sweet just has a clean nuttiness , easy to drink. nothing amazingly special but a great solid ale. Happy to drink this.
