2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 soyorganic (249) - Denver, USA - JUL 3, 2008
Bottle from my variety 6. Poured light copper color with small head. Aroma of slight yeast and cornmeal. Not too much going on with this beer. Heavy carbonation with a dry finish. Not much flavor in between.

33cl bottle - contents just couldn’t wait to get out - quick pour to reveal a hazy amber brew with offwhite head and consistent lacing. Basement aromas to the nose. Caramel malts and perhaps toffee. Sweet, quite sweet especially on the lips. Full body, but texture is almost watery thin. makes me think of a weak Trippel, which I would deem a compliment. Burpy.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 bobaidan (446) - Southington, Connecticut, USA - JAN 24, 2012
Pours medium amber with a small head. Aroma is sweet with a hint of cherry. Medium in body with a bit of stickiness. Flavor is very sweet and unremarkable. A touch of fruity Belgian yeast keeps it drinkable.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Jukkabro (3471) - Tampere, FINLAND - JAN 13, 2012
Dark red-brown colored with cloudy appearance. Little yellow head. Sweet chocolaty aroma with some grainy tone. Medium bodied. Flavor is more on roasted side with still grainy chocolate here, some yeasty-lemony note can also be found. Rather basic one.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 callmemickey (795) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 2, 2012
Reviewed from notes (2007).
A: Hazy brown with a thick creamy tan head that slides down the glass at a nice pace..
S: Light apple and banana scent with some mellow soft malts and some clove spice
T: Similar in taste as the smell would suggest... some fruits combine with the mellow malts and a dash of yeast... some alcohol comes through
M: Light bodied with decent carbonation and some alcohol on the tongue
O: Enjoyable but not as complex as one would like... good for a few before getting bored
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 DiarmaidBHK (1527) - Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 16, 2011
Bottle from total wine. Pours brown with an inch of white foam. Not much on the nose. Mouthfeel is thicker then I was expecting. Not much on the tongue. It’s Belgian like Stella is Belgian.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 solidfunk (651) - Ontario, CANADA - DEC 14, 2011
Not bad. Some decent floral hops and a good head of foam on the pour. Colour isn’t that great but it’s an alright beer, as long as you’re not comparing it to the good Belgians.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 nickd717 (3305) - San Francisco, California, USA - NOV 23, 2011
33cl bottle. Nice clear bright amber color with a one finger white head and some lacing. The aroma is simple with honey as the dominant note. Some caramel and Belgian yeast behind it. The flavor is sweet with caramel and honey, Belgian yeast, and tea notes. Medium body with carbonation a little on the higher side. Solid stuff overall. Enjoyable.

Part of the Nice Carrefour crate during the Nice-Cannes Marathon week. A moderately malty sweet bitter. Nuts and raisins and a lingering powdery bitterness. Pleasant enough and well conditioned as is the way with the Belgians, but not remarkable. A bit like T.E.A., but conditioned with lively yeast and candi sugar. In the UK this would be classed a Bitter, in the US an Amber Ale, in France a Bier de Garde, as it is made in Belgian it is classed as a Belgian Ale. I hope that makes sense to someone.

Tap. Golden coloured, head should be a bit bigger, to cold served. Yeasty, watery, ok hopped, should’ve gotten a boost for sure. Mostly yeast.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20 SPDickerman (424) - Texas, USA - OCT 25, 2011
Pours amber with small off-white head. Smells super malty with some hoppiness and Belgian yeastiness. Taste is kind of funky but not sour, some bitterness and some sweetness, but overall not what a "Belgian ale" or "amber ale" should taste like. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and average mouth-carbonation, Bruegel Amber Ale finishes kind of unimpressively: average is the best I can think of for this.
