2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 jumpjet2k (314) - Houston, Texas, USA - OCT 5, 2009
Bottle. Gold/amber color, a nice tan head. Aroma’s a little spicy, also some wet cardboard and wet grain. Flavor is somewhat sweet, a bit of hops, but there’s a definite metallic twang. Not terribly impressed with this one.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Parket (521) - Bruges, BELGIUM - OCT 4, 2009
bottle, nice golden colour with also nicely lacing white head. Smell: fruity, spicy. Taste: malty, yeast, sweet, watery, grainy, nice hops. Very hoppy in the aftertaste. This beer has the looks but misses a bit power.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 drowland (3567) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - AUG 13, 2009
I got this in one of those mixed sixes of random Belgian beers. Definitely at the bottom compared to the others in the 6-pack of Belgians I got.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Acetobacter (816) - Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 1, 2009
Enjoyed from an 11.2oz bottle in a whiskey snifter. The beer pours a medium to deep brown, with an off-white to light tan head. Surprisingly, notes of toasted malt come through in the nose, pairing pretty nicely with the esters thrown by the yeast. The toasted notes also come through in the palate. Some bitterness is noted, although it is only slightly more than what one would usually get in Belgian ales of most varieties. Overall, I enjoyed this beer, although it cannot hold a candle to the great Belgian examples.
3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 MI2CA (1340) - Noblesville, Indiana, USA - JUL 16, 2009
33cl - Aroma is stank. Wet grain, rusty water and caramel. Pours transparent brown with a small head and good lacing. Flavor is not as offensive as the aroma. Very sweet malts, caramel and toffee and that’s about it. Sticky palate. Nothing special but not a drain pour.
2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 eManu (371) - Kuala Lumpur & Brussels, BELGIUM - JUL 6, 2009
Pours a clear golden color with a thin white head. Aroma of weats and corn malts. Flavors of corn and some grass with a bitter sweet ending. Not a special beer, but drinkable.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 lithy (2913) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 6, 2009
Golden orange, lumpy off white foam with sticky lacing. Aroma is yeasty, slightly sweet caramel. Taste is fruity, pears, yeasty, some toffee.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Bigmmartin (567) - Dayton, Ohio, USA - JUL 4, 2009
Definitely "easy to drink" but too weak and watery for what I expect from a Belgian. Light malts in the flavor with a light bitterness in the finish. Simple, but not bad.
