Source: 11.2 oz bottle purchased from Greenlife Grocery in Chattangooa. Appearance: Poured a clear, light gold color (almost yellow) with a finger and a half of bubbly white head that quickly dissipated.. Aroma: Very earthy, musty with faint notes of caramel. Flavor: Toffee, earthy hops and a metallic twinge that dominated the finish. Very disappointing. Palate: Medium body and watery mouthfeel. The metallic bitterness hangs around for a while, and really ruins the rest of the beer. Overall: Very disappointing. Will not buy this one again.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 kuphish (351) - Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA - APR 9, 2009
Bottle. Pours a decent sized, frothy white head. Clear, amber body. Malty nose, heavy on caramel and raisins with some floral and grassy notes from the hops. Upon the first sip some toffee came through. Light, slightly sticky body with a fair amount of carbonation. Lightly bitter finish. A decent beer, but I had hoped for more.

This pours a cloudy amber color with a small white head. Aroma was grassy, and sweet. Flavor was sweet grassy and a weird sourness that is not good. Not a good belgian at all

330 mL bottle from Greenwood Gourmet Grocery near Crozet, VA. Pours a reddish amber color, slightly hazy, with a surprisingly small head considering it was such an explosive gusher. Decent head retention and nice lacing. Odd aroma of toasted malts, caramel, raisins and a slight tart note. Taste is toasted malts, caramel, toffee and bitter hops. Full bodied. Strange one.
