COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bruegel is an easy drinking soft and tasty amber ale. Thanks to the refermentation it offers more body, more head and more taste than most other American and Belgian Amber ales. It is brewed with Dutch barley and German hops. Although the bitterness is clearly present, it is not dominant.

Amber with a good sized head. Aroma is of wet grass an hay with some malts and hops. Flavor is malty with light hops and overall is slightly weak.

A little sour on the nose, a cloudy mid brown body with a thin white head, gone quickly, a very sour taste all around, worse: it lingers. First drain pour I can remember.

330ml bottle from gift pack. nice well balanced sweet undertones in the flavour. not a big fan of the aftertaste, though. overall it is good, however.

UPDATED: JAN 24, 2009 09/01 0.33 l bottle @Hopdevil, Zagreb. It poured darker amber body with medium sized head. Sourish hoppy aroma, quite empty and ordinary. Winy flavor, caramel malty, dubbel-ish, some faint hops, but generally empty and bland. Thin bodied. Shorter and watery flavor with some grapes and that’s it. This is stated as dubbel by the brewery and has all its characteristics except the color.

Bottle, 5.2%. Clear amber colour. Very small tan head. The flavour is mildly caramelly and slightly sweet. Not very bitter. Has a hint of caramelly berries.

Smell is malts, wheat, flowers, hops, and caramel. Look is amber copper colored with a decent sized white head. Taste is malts, hops, ok balance between the two, watery, sort of off.

11.2 oz stubby. Clear, lightly hazed gold with a thick white head. Lightly sweet fruity nose, a bit of dust and orange. Light, bouncy mouthfeel makes this pretty drinkable. Mild flavors of lemon and light grain, hints of coriander. Sheetlike lacing. Mild and inoffensive, this is a Belgian lawnmower beer, IMO.

Bottle. This golden beer has a healthy sized white head in its glass and good lacing. I smell bread and butter, yeast, grass and a bit of caramel. The flavour is full of lemon with some herbal parts to it.
