3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 talon1117 (1011) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - FEB 15, 2011
Pours mostly clear and amber with a full, pillowy, white head which settles to a moderate foam and leaves some frothy Belgian lace. The nose is apple, light pear, some floral, dusty yeast, and honeyed rolls. The flavor is more apple dominant with fresh grains, light honey, and faint nutmeg notes. The palate is medium, watery, and lively. The beer finishes with plenty if honeyed grains, apple remaining, and a light to moderate floral bitterness. Subtle, simple, and surprisingly fresh for a Belgian beer. Not something to seek out but something i would certainly session if it were more available.

Appearance: medium brown, short tan head. Aroma: brown sugar, toffee, molasses. Taste: as the aroma indicates, with some faintly metallic hops way in the background. Finish: short, sweet and a little mineral-ly. Notes: Pretty sweet, with lots of brown sugar/caramel flavors. Hops were very subdued.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 crossovert (2525) - Wisconsin, USA - FEB 9, 2011
UPDATED: MAR 6, 2011 11.2 oz bottle.
Pours a clear amber, true to its name, with a big fluffy white head that leaves a wall of lacing.
This one is similar to Biere du Boucanier red int he smell. Fruity Pebbles come to mind in the scent. There is a scant hoppiness underneath that provides a bit of balance to the sweet smell.
The flavor isn’t as fruity, rather a sweet but not overly so toffee tinged beer. It has rich caramel like flavors. The fruit is there in the flavor though, this one would go good with american hops.
This is a solid brew that is a worthy part of the mix pack from this brewery.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 manuchampions (1154) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 4, 2011
33cl bottle from Brewery Creek in Vancouver. Pours a very slightly cloudy gold with little head. Aroma is oddly apples and cheese. Flavour keeps that apple tone going, but it lacks a smooth balance or an interesting enough flavor profile to make it stand out. I also get a caramel tone on the end. Mouthfeel is thin with minimal carbonation and the drinkability stays low due to uninspiring flavour and overall characteristics. Not bad, just uninspired.

23rd February 2009 Clear amber-brown beer. Mild carbonation. Pretty uninteresting beer with a simple malt start and just a very light touch of hop in the crisp dry finish. Perfectly drinkable but very very average.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 vikingguy (456) - Chaska, Minnesota, USA - JAN 8, 2011
Crystal clear copper color. Foamy white head. Caramelly nose. Taste is mainly sticky caramel malt. Good balancing hops. Pretty basic amber ale. Not great, but good. Very drinkable. I’d buy it again or order it at a bar if it was possible. Can only get it around here if you buy the Belgian six-pack sampler.
