COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bruegel is an easy drinking soft and tasty amber ale. Thanks to the refermentation it offers more body, more head and more taste than most other American and Belgian Amber ales. It is brewed with Dutch barley and German hops. Although the bitterness is clearly present, it is not dominant.

Closer than golden yellow than amber. Nose of malt, but also corn, cooked veggies. No head retention - It disappears right away. Taste is a-ok, but nothing more interesting to say about this one.

So this is like Belgium’s answer to Budweiser...right? Right? This must be some definition of Belgium Ale I was previously unaware of...right? Right? Weird aftertaste of Gerber’s baby food or something.

Papillon (280) - Sudbury, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 30, 2010
330 mL bottle. Gold body with a foamy white head. Rich sweet malts with complex fruity notes and a pear-banana overtone and a clover floral note; astringent hops top it off in the aroma. Nice flavor of sweet malts with a spicy note, yeast, green grapes, hops speak up in the aftertaste followed by a dry creamy finish.

Bottle. Slightly hazy deep golden, lively foamy clingy head. Aroma of honey and brewers ccereal. Flavours of honey, light caramel, light pineapple, with nice floral hop nuances in the finish. I liked it more than I expected.

Bottle from Beer Mania. Nice amber body with huge head. Nose of chocolate and malts. Taste of caramel, wheat, toffee and lots of hops. Really nice. Not a particularly dense or complicated brew but goes down well.

330ml bottle pours a pale orange beer. A light white delicate head that gives off a pleasent aroma of toasted toffee and plenty of malt. The flavor is average of Beligum beers but with an amazing taste left on palate. A very nice Beligum beer that most can enjoy.
