Bottle. An amber coloured pour with a medium off white head. Sweet aroma. Tastes of caramel, malt, slight bitterness, rather thin and incredibly bland. Not good IMO. Give me a Piraat any day.

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 caralkaline87 (386) - Washington DC, USA - JUL 6, 2010
Pours copper-blonde (very light for an "amber") with a medium foamy white head. Nose is very bready (wheat or barley seems to lead the charge), with a touch of fruity candy and a little skunk. Flavor is watered down cinnamon bread with just a touch of brown sugar and alcohol. Some skunk on the quick, weak finish. This is not a very good beer, IMO; it looks and tastes cheap. The advertisment says "...bitterness is clearly present...", which is a lie unless you compare all beers as relative to Keystone Light.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 GJF (971) - Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA - JUL 4, 2010
Didn’t really work so much for me. It’s a bready, slightly yeasty amber, with an unpleasant harshness in the finish. Not a belgian I would search out.

330 mL bottle at the Red Monk. Relatively uninspiring, fairly generic in most respects. Belgian ale for beginners, perhaps. Slightly bready and yeasty, but nothing terribly interesting going on. Easy drinking, certainly, and not offensive in any way.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Dfonorow (555) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JUN 20, 2010
Pours tanish orange with a decent sized white head, fades rather quickly. Not very good on the lacing and is pretty carbonated (not in much of a good way). Aroma is normal for an amber and includes notes of hops, light fruit, and slight sugar background. Taste is better than expected and fairly smooth and tastes almost the same as it smells, pretty good when paired with the right food, but not amazing.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 emagana (38) - Fillmore, California, USA - JUN 2, 2010
Purchased this on a variety pack. Great deal. Pours red brownish. The head is fluffy white and as it drops it leaves some nice lacing. Aromas of light malts and some spices. Damp bread I would say. Starts off great and has a lingering bitter after taste. Quite appropriate forthis style. Enjoyable. Will go well with some fish and chips.

(Bottle) Authentic Belgian taste and style in this mild Amber Ale. Lots of malt balanced with a light hop flavor. Enjoyable and only moderatly alcoholic. Very easy to drink more than one. This could be an easy introduction to the Belgian flavored Ale.
