Ungstrup (11930), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 14, 2003 The color of this beer is amber and it has a beutiful caramel colored head. The aroma is slightly sweet, fruity, and fresh. The flavor is sweet, malty, and yeasty and rolls over the tongue with lemon and coriander notes. It turns in the end - and all the flavor with all of its complexity lingers a long time. It has a great palate for a beer thats "only" 5.2% ABV. Papsoe (11421), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 8, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Amber golden with a small off-white head. Malty nose, and some roasted malt throughout. No real sweetness though. Not really what you would expect from Van Steenberge, but then again of course they would also have a "Speciale" type in their impressive portfolio. Pleasant if not exactly thrilling. 260798 omhper (11027), Stockholm, Sweden Feb 25, 2002 Orange-red. Light bodied. Balsamic, sweetind & sourish, but still simple. yespr (8539), Copenhagen O, Denmark Apr 1, 2008 33 cL bottle. Pours clear orange with a lacing white head. Malty and mildly spiced aroma. Flavour is light fruity and light spiced. Mild caramel malt note with a light acidic touch. Light acidic finish with a spice note. oh6gdx (6583), Vaasa, Finland Jan 26, 2008 Bottled. Amber colour with mediumsized off-white head, which turns small quite fast. The small head last for long, along with the lace on the glass. Flavour is flowery hops, some breadyness and yeast. Vegetablyness dominates the finish and also aftertaste. very watery, and not too pleasant.
