COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bruegel is an easy drinking soft and tasty amber ale. Thanks to the refermentation it offers more body, more head and more taste than most other American and Belgian Amber ales. It is brewed with Dutch barley and German hops. Although the bitterness is clearly present, it is not dominant.

Bottle: Aroma is fruit, citrus, and light vinegar. Pours a dark amber with a small off-white head. Lightly sweet up front with a vinegar, sour/tart, and acidic finish. Do not like that vinegar taste at all. As it warms vinegar and tartness decrease slightly.

Bottle: Poured a clear light amber color ale with a big foamy head with great retention and lacing. Aroma of sweet malt is a bit overpowering with too much sugar. Taste is also exceedingly sweet with no yeast characteristic and a light body that doesn’t really hold up very well. I also didn’t notice any bitterness as mentioned in the description. Definitely not something that I would seek again.

Bottle; Nose of caramel and a tomatoy berry note (like a weak V-8 hint); hazy light brown with a medium beige head; flavor was coardboardy, must be an old bottle, with some caramel and spices.

Bought this in a Flanders, Belgium 6pk. ( global beer network promotion) Amber color, white fizzy head. Slight malt, a little breadyish. This is one of the better ones in the pack.

33cl bottle. Nice clear bright amber color with a one finger white head and some lacing. The aroma is simple with honey as the dominant note. Some caramel and Belgian yeast behind it. The flavor is sweet with caramel and honey, Belgian yeast, and tea notes. Medium body with carbonation a little on the higher side. Solid stuff overall. Enjoyable.

It happens so often that you drink a beer and don’t care for it and it rates low by others. Save your cash on this one.
