Says amber on the bottle but is definitely closer to a double to me. Murky, muddy brown color which is not all that attractive. Earthy and fruity aroma. The fruit comes through in the flavor with some grape and apple in there. Overall a well rounded beer.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20 Odeed (1749) - Bakersfield, California, USA - JAN 17, 2005
this amber pours a big foamy off white head that made some snap, crackel, pop noises as it simmered down.the color was a murky reddish orange.i got an aroma of brown sugar, metal, figs, and yeast.the first sip started a bit watery, then came some yeast, then brown sugar, then some cardboard.very interesting brew.

Pours out a light brown, thin medium sized head. Caramel and sweetness on the nose. Watery mouthfeel with caramel, honey and maybe a bit of bitterness on the finish. Aftertaste isnt’ good
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 drpimento (1695) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 4, 2010
Bruegel Amber Ale Poured with a nice sized cream colored foamy frothy head that lasts and lots of lace. Color is a clear amber. Aroma is malty, a bit yeasty and fruity. Flavor is like aroma with a little bitterness in the finish which makes it much more drinkable. Body is real full and carbonation is good too. Nothing real special for a Belgian ale, but better than most all other world amber ales that are trying to mimic this style.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Countbeer (1686) - Best of Eindhoven ohne Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - MAR 11, 2010
UPDATED: MAR 15, 2010 Long time ago had this one, wrote the following down:
Bottle:
Smells like cigarette.
Taste is luckily better but not too good either.
Taste is soft, creamy, spicy, watery, fungi/mouldy.
It’s not a great beer, kind a strange one, but since it is a pretty well balanced beer, it’s easy to drink it pretty quick. But than you’re done.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Stefano (1676) - Esbjerg, DENMARK - APR 13, 2009
Amber colour with a slightly off-white head. Aroma of light sweet apple cider. Flavor is light sweet paper and caramel. Boring ale from Steenberge.
