An ok Belgian, abit on the mild side, yeasty, Citrus, slight hops, an ok introduction to Belgians with low alc.

it is light - but not too light. it has a real refreshing and spicy character about it. it is bitter and fruity, almost lemony. it is also a bit chalky. nice light pure white head on a light golden brew. it has a kind of vegetable touch that fades to the fruit and grains, i find that appealing. this is a good country brew. i was mildy surprised.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Goodgrief (1608) - Middletown, Delaware, USA - JUN 12, 2008
Pour was pale gold with smallish fizzy head and some lacing. The aroma was sour and funky just like the rest of the beers in this mixed disaster Belgian 6-pack from Van Steenberg. 5 losers out of 6 all the same...weak, sour and overcarbonated. Different shades of the same lousy variety. This one had some graininess and bitterness under the cardboard, sweet rotten fruity malt and off sour taste. Bleh.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 mansquito (1602) - washington, Washington DC, USA - MAY 8, 2011
Chevy Chase Wine and Liquors, DC 11.2oz ($3): Pours an amber color with a whitish head. Aroma is of yeast, malts, and fruity notes. Beer is kind of sweet, with subdued hop bitterness. A good amount of yeast. Mostly on the malty side of things. While this is not a great beer, it is relatively well-balanced and pretty drinkable.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 piscator34 (1580) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - JUL 17, 2006
Medium amber in colour with average carbonation. Aromas of caramel and vanilla custard (an unusual combo, yet quite nice). More caramel and custeard in the mouth, along with some notes of dried fruit (especially banana chips), burnt sugar, and spicy Belgian yeast. Medium bodied, but on the light side for the style. This isn’t one of those super complex high octane Belgians, but I still really enjoyed it. A Belgian session ale perhaps... if such a thing even exists?
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 JonMoore (1573) - Loughborough, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - JUL 21, 2005
Bottle. Amber coloured with a slim white head. Sweet malty and caramel aroma. Quite a thin mouthfeel, with a malty, sugary, caramel taste and a light sour finish. Nothing special.

330 ml bottle. pours orangeish/gold with a small fizzy white head that is soon gone. sweet aromas, also some cardboard. flavours are of bad amber ale. nothing belgian about it. it might as well be old credit amber. poor effort.
