Poured a brown amber with some off-white bubbles, faint fragrances of malts, some dry cider fragrance on the nose, little taste of malts, faint caramel, some tartness on the tongue, medium mouth feel, this was ok.

Pours a clear orange with nearly no head and no lacing. Tinny sweet aroma, grapefruit? Meh. Herbal astringent malting, bland aftertaste, lightly oxidized. Thin body with ok carb. Why bother?
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 raymondwave (931) - FINLAND - DEC 9, 2006
Stale nose, doesn’t really give much when cold on trappist glass. Taste is very buttery and malty. Kinda hard to make an opinion of. Mouth feel is creamy and nice with smooth carbonation, but doesn’t leave much aftertaste. A little funky overall. The creamy butter is all that I can really put my finger on.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 HighGravity (926) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JUL 9, 2004
Clear amber color. The nose is oily and sweet. The palate is smooth and slightly sweet. Overall, the beer is good, but not one to think about very long. Gets too sweet towards the end.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Syd (920) - Waconia, Minnesota, USA - JAN 30, 2004
Bottle pours an amber color with a large head that consists of large bubbles below the head sheen with little lace. The aroma is yeasty and malty. The flavor is dry and lightly yeasty with a fairly rich body. Overall, average to slightly above.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 JesseM (918) - Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 6, 2007
UPDATED: APR 2, 2008 Pours obviously an amber colour, with a small beige head. The aroma is of caramalts, dried apricot, lots of sweet malts and other fruits as well. It actually smells really nice, like how an actual amber ale would/should. Tastes, odd, not bad, but it doesn’t make me say wow. It tastes like everything I listed above, with a bit of yeast, and a slightly hoppy/ metallic finish. Sweet, malty aftertaste. Unlike any other Belgian beer I’ve ever come across before, it’s sort of a blend of a Wit with an amber ale. The result is pleasant enough. Decent beer. It gets some bonus point for the neat-looking illustration on the bottle label.

Pours clear deep amber, tiny white head. Nose is sweet and fruity, lightly spiced. Very straight forward. Quite malty, not very bitter. Lots of apple sauce. Good but not exciting.
