Bottle. An amber coloured pour with a medium off white head. Sweet aroma. Tastes of caramel, malt, slight bitterness, rather thin and incredibly bland. Not good IMO. Give me a Piraat any day.

Reviewed 11/19/2009 (bottle):
Pours a clear golden yellow color body, huge off-white head, pretty lasting. Fruity aroma, some hay and farm-like notes. Floral and Belgiany too, but those notes need to be inhaled deeper. Some banana. Clean taste, some pilsner like taste, corn or vegetable, but not in a bad way. Refreshing. Light taste, thin palate. Not very complex. A little bite, but not very spicy. Kinda bland. Not as good as a Sierra Nevada or Bass.

Golden tan color. Smell of caramel, grahmcrackers and honey. Taste of grahmcrackers, fruit, malt, honey and caramel. Dry white wine finish at the end.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 scottw86 (834) - Maryland, USA - APR 6, 2010
Poured a clear amber with a medium white head. Aroma of apples, wheat, and some earthy notes. Taste is slightly yeasty and slightly like hay. Slightly bitter. Pretty one-dimensional and thin, but a good flavor. Overall decent, but a little more flavor would be good.

11.2 ounce bottle. Pours a clear light amber with an average biege head. Aroma of caramel, malt, yeast, fruit and spices. Taste is similar with a hint of coffee. Interesting.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Sregnar35 (828) - Rotterdam, New York, USA - DEC 29, 2005
UPDATED: MAR 26, 2006 Below average beer, especially for a belgian. Aroma was salty, like a sweaty ice rink. Color was nice murky red. Flavor was stale honey and malt, with little hops.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Acetobacter (816) - Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 1, 2009
Enjoyed from an 11.2oz bottle in a whiskey snifter. The beer pours a medium to deep brown, with an off-white to light tan head. Surprisingly, notes of toasted malt come through in the nose, pairing pretty nicely with the esters thrown by the yeast. The toasted notes also come through in the palate. Some bitterness is noted, although it is only slightly more than what one would usually get in Belgian ales of most varieties. Overall, I enjoyed this beer, although it cannot hold a candle to the great Belgian examples.

Average amber. Light hue for an amber. Medium flavor and slightly bitter.
