Buttery, yeasty, biting aroma. Smooth orange appearance with a subtle head. Flavor was buttery with a touch of hops but lacking in complexity and finish. Palate felt a touch watery. Not too bad... I’d put it higher than most other 50th percentiles I’ve had.

UPDATED: APR 24, 2006 Nice amber color with a cream colored rocky and lingering head that leaves a beautiful lacing. It smells awesome with a huge toffee note and some nuts. High carbonation for a belgian ale. Well defined toffee and caramel flavor and roasted finish. Surprisingly simple and drinkable though. No hops noticeable, makes it sweet but not cloying and very enjoyable. Some alcohol punch. Very different from other belgian ales also. Original and well done brew.

Bottled. Pours a clear amber with a lacy cream-colored head. The body is medium with medium carbonation. Corriander, toffee and fruit in the nose. The taste is caramel and fruit with a bit of corriander and cloves in the in the ever-so-slightly bitter finish. No out standing characteristics, but no problems either. This would be a hugely sessionable beer.

11.2 oz bottle part of a variety six-pack. Copper amber with a firm head, nice typical belgian aroma, and as the description says, more flavor than a US amber ale. A pleasant drink.

A carbonatação é média. Bom retrogosto. Deixa um final levemente amargo.

Bottle. Poured a lighter amber color with a smaller white head. Aroma was biscuit, malts and toffee. Flavor was toffee, toast, and caramel. Medium body. Some hops in the aftertaste. Not as bad as the ratings might suggest on here.

Foamy head. Flavor like a decent American amber ale but somewhat metallic taste in there somewhere.

Pours a deep red. Smelled floral and sweet. Tasted sweet with the same floral scent coming through in the flavor. Also had a strong candy aftertaste. Overall I thought it was refreshing and I didn’t think it was a bad beer.
