Bottle, Belgian Gift Pack, 2004 LCBO. Orange pour. Good long lasting bubbly white head. Wonderful fruity and sharply spicy aroma. Mouthfeel is actively carbonated and tingly, but does feel a little thin. Taste was more fruit and spice - I was missing the word to describe it and then I saw it below - tart. There was a subtle tartness to the cherry like flavours for sure. Slightly lingering bitter finish, but watered down by, well, the overall taste being a little watery. Overall, not too bad though, I’d have another.

330mL bottle received as part of a Belgian gift pack at Christmas 2007 via the LCBO. Best before date in 2009. Pours a clear, medium gold with little head. Little aroma. First taste sensation is sparkling, although there is little carbonation seen. The sparkliness transforms into a moderate spiciness. A soft maltiness emerges as it warms.

Thanks Jadoreblanche! You’re the best! nice brown/abmer body, accompanied by a long lasting foamy white head. Some lacing left behind as well! Aroma is fruity (prunes?) hoppy, and sweet like cotton candy. taste is sweet, and there are those prunes again. Bitter, and hoppy. Nice bite on the tounge. Fairly well balcned. Nice one!

330ml belgian stubbie bottle. This ale poured a reddish orange with a tight off white frothy cap that retains well. Fruity boquet in the nose...some slight sweet and sour effects. medium bodied...sweet without cloying and a distinct tart-peppery apricot tone to the taste mingles with doughy malts...finishes well going dry and a tad bitter...certainly one of the more drinkable belgian ales with a nice unique taste.

33 cl bottle - Pours a clear amber color with a one finger thick off white head. Very light lacing. Aroma is herbal hops and esters. Flavor is much of the same with some light malt sweetness thrown in there. Bitterness lingers a bit. Light to medium body. A decent beer.

Bottled. Opaque, orange/ brown in color with a big, frothy tan head. Yeasty aroma with spicy notes and something that resembles coriander. Spicy and carbonated with generous malt sweetness. Not much in the way of hops.
