COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bruegel is an easy drinking soft and tasty amber ale. Thanks to the refermentation it offers more body, more head and more taste than most other American and Belgian Amber ales. It is brewed with Dutch barley and German hops. Although the bitterness is clearly present, it is not dominant.

Definitely "easy to drink" but too weak and watery for what I expect from a Belgian. Light malts in the flavor with a light bitterness in the finish. Simple, but not bad.

Pours amber with a short lived whitish head. Smell is fresh light and bright smelling malt with some estery yeast. Taste is yeasty, fruity and malty. Clean flavors with banana. Crisp refreshing mouthfeel with a medium body. Light balancing hop flavor in finish. Pretty decent.

33 cL bottle from the LCBO, served in a tulip. This one was a gusher, but it poured clear golden with a moderate white, fluffy head. The head remains and leaves copious fine lace on the glass. The nose has aromas of flowers, pale malts, yeast, ginger and just a hint of hops. The flavour is balanced between slighly sweet pale malts and slightly bitter and herbal hops. There are touches of honey and citrus throughout. The finish is short and fairly clean, with just a hint of hops. On the palate, it is light-medium in body with a smooth texture and lively carbonation. Overall, a rather simple amber ale with a Belgian yeast profile. Nothing to write home about. 2011-04-05

Flat tasting. But I don’t think that it’s this beers fault. My friend and I got this in a 6-pack of Belgium beers and every one of them so far has gizzed all over the place when we open them up. I think that that has been altering the taste. I actually like Newcastle more than I like this. It kinda has a similar taste but not as good. I really think that it was the spewing that screwed it up. It’s kinda sad. Drank this out of a tumbler.

Bottle. Pours a decent sized, frothy white head. Clear, amber body. Malty nose, heavy on caramel and raisins with some floral and grassy notes from the hops. Upon the first sip some toffee came through. Light, slightly sticky body with a fair amount of carbonation. Lightly bitter finish. A decent beer, but I had hoped for more.

Light amber, gold when illuminated. white head. Aroma is sweet, like honey, with some light interesting notes of licorice/spice. Flavor is mild up front with a very grassy finish. Only light yeast flavor. Light bodied, fairly dry. A somewhat boring Belgian session ale.

bottle, nice golden colour with also nicely lacing white head. Smell: fruity, spicy. Taste: malty, yeast, sweet, watery, grainy, nice hops. Very hoppy in the aftertaste. This beer has the looks but misses a bit power.

Bottled- pours clear orange with a white head. Aroma of light citrus, sweet biscuit-dough malts, and yeast, while the flavor goes down smooth and refreshing with doughy and caramel notes. This beer is sweet; however, it is also a thin mouthful of a beer.
