COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bruegel is an easy drinking soft and tasty amber ale. Thanks to the refermentation it offers more body, more head and more taste than most other American and Belgian Amber ales. It is brewed with Dutch barley and German hops. Although the bitterness is clearly present, it is not dominant.

You can really smell the yeast at first sniff on this one as well as citrus. Pours a hazy amber color with little effervescence and equally small white, quick dissipating head. The flavor is interesting but not overly impressive. Could pass itself off as a grape (druif) or lemon lambic easily. Very biiter to the taste with dry finish. The mouthfeel is carbonated and vinegry. Not overly impressed.

Copper colour with an medium rough foamy head. Light caramel malt aroma. Very little hop character, malty caramel flavour, quite dry. Medium body. Quite a boring beer, doesn’t seem Belgian at all, no estery, floral characteristics. More akin to an Irish ale really.

Smell is malts, wheat, flowers, hops, and caramel. Look is amber copper colored with a decent sized white head. Taste is malts, hops, ok balance between the two, watery, sort of off.

clear amber pour with a fluffy white head. aroma is yeasty with plum, nectarine, some light floral perfumey notes. Flavor is a little musty, some bready malts with some sweetness and a light grassy bitterness. Nothing special at all

Bottle from my variety 6. Poured light copper color with small head. Aroma of slight yeast and cornmeal. Not too much going on with this beer. Heavy carbonation with a dry finish. Not much flavor in between.

I got this in one of those mixed sixes of random Belgian beers. Definitely at the bottom compared to the others in the 6-pack of Belgians I got.

33cl, from De Hopduvel Gent, easy to drink, yet complex, balanced, clear, rocky head, simpel brew

Poured a reddish-gold color with virtually no head. Light aromas and flavors of some spicy malts as well as some dried fruit. I wasn’t impressed with this beer; there just wasn’t much here.
