BritAlesRule (65), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Jun 22, 2008 A darkish amber, truly beautiful color, but then things go south a bit. The head dissapears like a magician, not that that’s ever been important to me, but the aroma is something very familiar. Some American micro that they slap ’Amber’ on just because they’re not sure what else to call it and it tastes a days worth of biscuits. The best part of this beer is the barely detectable Van Steenberge yeast familiar in all their beers. Shame on me for drinking this between the Piraat and the Gulden Draak, but this is one of those breweries where you thing they might have done well brewing 7 or 8 really good brews rather than take the Sam Adams path and release everything you ever experimented with.
travita (908), Lewisville, Texas, USA Dec 31, 2008 Smell is malts, wheat, flowers, hops, and caramel. Look is amber copper colored with a decent sized white head. Taste is malts, hops, ok balance between the two, watery, sort of off. Immy (1652), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA Dec 14, 2008 11.2 oz stubby. Clear, lightly hazed gold with a thick white head. Lightly sweet fruity nose, a bit of dust and orange. Light, bouncy mouthfeel makes this pretty drinkable. Mild flavors of lemon and light grain, hints of coriander. Sheetlike lacing. Mild and inoffensive, this is a Belgian lawnmower beer, IMO. PaulHegedus (187), Brampton, Ontario, Canada Dec 2, 2008 Bottle. This golden beer has a healthy sized white head in its glass and good lacing. I smell bread and butter, yeast, grass and a bit of caramel. The flavour is full of lemon with some herbal parts to it. Imperial-John (117), Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Nov 21, 2008 Belgian bubbly bread yeast aroma. Big white foamy head that thins quickly as it coats. Bubbly pale cloudy gold. Dry pale bubbly yeasty bread taste. terrybail (211), London, Ontario, Canada Nov 19, 2008 330ml bottle from the LCBO as aprt of a Belgian sampler pack
