Appearance: Dark woods the color of espresso under a tight khaki head which fades into a thin layer with a few tendrils of lace arcing upwards. Swirls with random spots.
Nose: Mint, sage, thyme, black licorice root, fennel. Figs, juniper, and dates. Exotic mushrooms freshly plucked from the earth with a thin dusting of the earth from which they were picked. Dried Italian lemon peel. Chunks of tree bark. Cacao beans whisper. Amazingly aromatic. Cinnamon sticks, gourds, and yams all roasting slowly over an open fire.
Palate: My first sip and goosebumps tingle their way up and down my body – Wow! Not too long of a finish – like a gentle passing breeze of all the upcoming flavor sensations wishing me well with one final kiss goodbye. Breath is mint, Italian lemon peel, and fennel. Medium weight with a bright presence. More bright zesty oily lemon peel near the back of each swallow. Alluring presence of sweet smoke weaves in and out. Fire roasted yams and gourds crackle above the flames while cinnamon sugars caramelized. Dense chewy dates and figs dance along the edges while the middle bursts with garden fresh mint, sage, thyme, and fennel. Brilliant.
Final Thoughts: Each quaff was Mother Nature’s gift to me and anyone else lucky enough to score a bottle of this beer. Fecking amazing. Like Mother Earth gave birth and it was named La Citrueille Celeste de Citracado. Mind-blowing. I’d love to have another, but alas this was a once in a lifetime offering.

12oz bottle pours light caramel with lite white head. Pumpkin aroma. Brown sugar and pumpkin taste.

Reddish brown body with a small off-white head. Port-malt aroma, not fully in balance. Moderately bitter, lightly sweet flavour. Unbalanced and bit awkward.

Concealer (178) - Denver, Colorado, USA - APR 2, 2013
Pours a dark brown with a reddish tint. Real thin caramel head that dissipates quickly. Smells of lemon citrus, malt, and licorice. Tastes a mild sweetness upfront with a bitter licorice and malt finish. Really an unremarkable brew.

DocJitsu (334) - California, USA - MAR 30, 2013
Pours an amber copper with a quickly dissipating root beer head. Aromas of caramel malt and Belgian yeast with an underwhelming citrus hop bouquet. Mouth feel is mildly scrubby on the back of the tongue, but a little creamy on the front. No pumpkin, some coffee flavor and acidity. Finishes a bit like a lager. Easy drinking beer, but really not a whole lot going on. You’d think with these three breweries combining efforts it’d be a better product. Pretty disappointed overall.

bottle at parker pie, vt. unclear medium dark brown with a nice beige head, decent retention and lacing. grassy, herbal, spices, piney, some sweetness, fruity dark caramel malts, molasses, soy, balsamic, pepper, cardamom, toasted coconut. average carbonation, light body - some texture. quite complex brew - just because there’s a mash-up of so many spices/herbs/fruits... all and everything... it doesn’t blend well.

Bottle at Parker Pie. Shared by czar, thanks! Slightly hazy amber brown with a low white head. Aroma of spices, caramel, pumpkin, spices, lemon and citrus. Taste is about the same along with mineral/earthy notes and hints of grass. Mouthfeel is thin, slightly watery. It’s complex, but it doesn’t get along together. Meh.

Bottle. Pours deep amber with a beige head. Toasted and nutty malts, medium sweetness, and pumpkin seeds. Odd, but decent enough.
