Clear dark red - brown beer. Good pale tan head. Light fresh crispy palate. A refreshing strong citrus is a suprise coming off a dark beer! Lemongrass and a touch of lime. A cream - soda kinda cream vanilla. Minerals. Semi dry finish. Refreshing.

Had this from the cask at the Falling Rock release. I just hope they change the name before they sell the bottles because they misspelled Citrouille Céleste. The beer is golden-brown in colour. It has some dark rye notes, roasty pumpkin seed character. Roasty, bitter, toasty and unique beverage. A really nice, unique beer. (Yes, I’ll probably get a bottle and write better notes, but this is a good beer people should seek out).

Dark ruby-brown color, small white head. Citrus, lime, spices and caramel in the nose. Medium-bodied. Flavor of ginger, caramel and crystal kind of malts. Short finish. Like a XMas beer. Too weird!

Bottle from Fred at Beverages 4 Less in Santee, CA. Pours dark copper with a foamy light tan head. The aroma is really herb/veg, but it’s kind of a clean aroma. Comes out a bit citrus/anise. Med plus body. Flavor is sort of an herby pine over some nice, smooth heavily roasted malt. There’s an evergreen aspect. A little anise hint. Really pretty good.

Pours a fairly dark amber/brown color with a small off-white head. An intensely herbal aroma to this, which I would imagine is the fenugreek. There’s a bit of a lemon aroma to it, which is actually sort of nice. Not much else to it except for those two dominating smells, though. The flavor has a bit of roasted malt flavor, maybe a hint of coffee, to go along with all of the herbaceousness. There is still a little bit of lemon on the finish. Light to medium body with medium carbonation. Not really my favorite.
