2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 hawthorne00 (1435) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - MAY 14, 2010
Pretty old bottle - bb 2008. Pours gold, head is just a cream coat. Honey and spice nose - cinnamon, cloves, galangal, coriander. Almost flat with hints it wasn’t once. Taste is orange sweet with some cheesy yeast and (nice) stale hops. The tiny hints of better beers (Chimay white, Orval, Duval) are just enough to be slightly annoying.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 mkel07 (1806) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - APR 23, 2010
330ml bottle. Soft fluffy white head and a cloudy dark honeycomb colour. The head settles to leave a nice lacing on the glass. Port like aroma as spices and cloves fight for domination. Light in the mouth given the high alcohol content and leaves a strong long aftertaste.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 Davros (1021) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - MAR 20, 2009
Thick luscious head settles to 1cm, earthy toffee kind of hazy amber. Nice lacing though.
Aroma is of honey, raisins, wheat, funky/musty old hops (similar to a gueuze), hints of alcohol, cinnamon, and a hint of red wine.
Taste is "wow" - reminds me of lindemans gueze, but with added coriander. Again, honey, cinnamon. Alcohol is highly noticeable. Hint of extract twang Bit of orange sherbert. Very watery finish with no bitter backing.
Creamy carbonation, but feels watery on palate.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 altonbrownd (3580) - Brussels, BELGIUM - FEB 6, 2009
Golden amber body, short head. Sweet and spicy nose. Fruity with taste of citrus. More spicy in the finish. A bit lackluster.
2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 TheGrandMaster (2313) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - JAN 21, 2009
Bottle (in NZ), pours a crystal clear gold with a large white frothy head. The nose carries a sweet spicyness with a light citrus tang. Quite spritzy with a bit of a bland cardboard palate. Finish is a touch peppery, but still don’t get a lot of flavour. Just a bit lacking.

Shared this one w/ SkyCop32. Picked up in Bruges by my friend Patriot Maintenence. Pours a light golden amber color. Aromas of citrus/coriander/some hops. I not big a beers with coriander like tastes. Probably a good beer just not my cup of beer. Almost like a Belgian Wit with a bite.
