Bottle at the RBSG Grand Tasting 2010. Pours cloudy yellow, thin head, no lacing. Nose is tart peaches, hot tin, banana, wet socks, barnyard. Flavours of lemon, cold cream, wheat. Different, ultra-obscure, but oddly very pleasant. This one really grew on me, and after initially giving it a 3.3, I slowly increased my score as time went on and I found more and more in this one. A sleeper.

Poured at 2009 GABF Saturday. Color is cloudy white gold. Nose has tart lemon, horseblanet and soft grain. Flavor is clean, funky, and quite tart. Crisp wheat also underlier the entire flavor profile, which is nice. Overall a very interesting, clean, tart, and deeply satisfying Sour.

Bottle shared by Scott (thanks) at the 2010 RBSG Grand Tasting. Poured clear gold with slight red hue and a bubbly white head. Aroma had a tart lemon note and apple with some sweet grains. Lemon and sorry apples that mellow towards the finish with some sweet grains and a bit of citrus as well.

From notes 03/2010. Enjoyed on tap at Brugge Brasserie, returning from a roadtrip. Served in a branded pint glass. A cloudy, gold ball squash yellow with a one finger white head. Some lacing. Never having had a gose, I didn’t really know what to expect. This smells of a twangy wheatiness, some lemon zest, and sweet apple. In the mouth, Bad Kitty is crisp and delicious. It starts off sweet and lemony, which is complemented by a lactic tartness and underwritten by its refreshing wheat backbone. Medium-light body with a decent bit of carbonation, which fits the bill. A very pleasing beer. I drank this one more quickly than I would have liked, and it complemented the food well. Bad Kitty is a refreshing, sessionable gose, and I hope to find more like it.

GABF 2009. Bright blonde pour. Lemony tart sourness, acidity of citrus cuts nicely into sourness. A more sour festina peche. nice

Sample at RBSG 2010 from notes. Pours a cloudy yellow golden color with a small white head. The aroma has tart citrus, lemon, apples, mildly sweet malts, wheat with some mild barnyard funk. The flavor has lemon citrus, apple, wheat, mild sweetness and mild funk.

Pours hazy light orange with a small white head. The aroma is lightly sour with some band-aid notes. Light crisp body that goes does easy with light carbonation. The flavor has sour crisp wheat, touch of plastic, dry powder and citric acid. The finish is clean and quick. Not the most complex beer, but it is quite enjoyable and would be a great summer quencher.

(draught at brewpub) pours cloudy yellow with no head or lacing. Nose of cereal grains, tart citrus fruits. Taste of funky cheese, cider vinegar, and lemon juice. Nice tart finish that could use a bit more carbonation.

On draught at the brewpub. Pours a hazy dark yellow color with a thin off-white head that disappears quickly. Minimal lacing is evident. Sour fruit aroma with some malty notes. Medium body with tart fruit, wheat and sweet malt flavors. The finish is fruity with a tart citrus aftertaste. Decent overall.
