vyvvy (1582), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA Apr 19, 2008 Sampled at Schlafly Repeal Fest. Pours very hazy yellow with a white head. The aroma is chalky with orange, rich wheat and is quite dry for the style. Medium body that is heavier than expected with noticeable, but light. The flavor starts with dry chalk along with some sweet citric flavors. There is also so pepper and a trait that is lightly offputting that I can’t put my finger on. An okay wit, but lacking something. I hope I can rerate this in the future and pinpoint things better.
Tmoney99 (3429), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Jun 10, 2008 Draft sample at Keg Fest under the name of White. Poured hazy amber color with a minimal fizzy white head that was mostly diminished with fair lacing. Moderate sweet citrus & yeast aroma. Medium body. Medium sweet & sour citrus flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Drinkable soft beer. TheBeerOrg (1371), Kentucky, USA Apr 26, 2008 Pours light golden with a wispy, mostly receding off-whtie head. Aroma of citrus, orange peel, lemon, coriander and pepper. Tastes of citrus and lemongrass. Mouthfeel is light bodied bodied, lively carbonation. Strykzone (880), Wood River, Illinois, USA Apr 15, 2008 Nice clove and banana aroma. Bitter tartness with some spice go along with the clove and banana. drfabulous (658), Columbia, Missouri, USA Apr 13, 2008 Schlafly Repeal of Prohibition, on tap. Light. Little coriander. A style I cannot judge anymore because I’ve given up on being wowed. So let’s say this one was fine for its style.
