Huge thanks to Mike (Sprinkle) for busting a glass of this out on his birthday. Tasted right out of the barrel. Damn, this is good shit. Pours a murky brown with scant head. Just looks pretty. Garnet; deep scarlet. Lactic, vinegar, sour fruit are my initial perceptions of the beer. Aroma is bright fruit, funk, brett. Taste is lactic, some sweet malt, lots of fruitiness to it and vinegar. Mouthfeel is slick and full. Damn, good stuff.

Bottle shared by puzzl. Light brown pour with not much head. Aroma is brett for sure with some dark malts coming through. Taste is nicely malty with plums and other dark fruits as the main flavor. Not that sour to the taste but no problems there. I don’t think I’d want a legitimately sour quad anyway. Though I haven’t tried the big guns yet, this is the best version of a quad that I’ve tried. Quite tasty.

Bottle from Sprinkle. Thanks! Pour is dark brown with little head. Strong, bretty aroma, dark malts, savory herbs. Lots of malt, light sour, a touch of plum in the flavor. Plummy, full malt flavor, only touch of sour, fairly complex but at the same time not too exciting. There is a bit of plum in the flavor but its not too noticeable, really. Tasty and different. Thanks, Mike.

(Draught) Pours a lightly hazy golden body with a small off-white head. Aroma of brett, oak, vanilla, and caramel. Flavor of sour brett character, oak, caramel malt with a dry finish.
