3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 jrallen34 (3445) - Chicago, USA - AUG 26, 2011
Draft... dark pink with a bit of purple, faintest pink head... The nose is dull, generic sweetness with a bit of tart fresh blackberries, solid... The taste is a bit of a generic sour, doughy sourness on the front with a berry finish, average, but drinkable
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Hair6a11 (1021) - Illinois, USA - JAN 24, 2012
On tap; pour is murky golden Amber with a frothy white head in this glass. The nose is BlackBerry, wild yeast, lactic acid, with a mild vegetable note. This one is very drinkable, muted, fruity, slightly bitter; blackberries are present here, juice and berry seeds, a bit of lactic acid and some white pepper. Nice... But....
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 FunkyBrewster (1380) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 22, 2012
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a deep reddish color some pink notes and a small white hear. Aroma is fruity and lightly acidic, some lacto tartness but a lot of the berry sweetness and some light graininess. Flavor is surprisingly tart fruit berry and dark fruitiness. Remains tart until a slightly sweeter finish, all around very crisp and refreshing along with a great tartness, medium body and a crisp carbonation very good
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Dogbrick (4828) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JAN 15, 2012
Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a slightly murky purple-amber color with a minimal white head. Spotty lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of berries, wheat and yeast. Medium body with a moderately tart fruit character with notes of berries, sweet malt and yeast. The finish is fruity with a hint of doughy malt in the aftertaste. Above average overall.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 pantanap (2838) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 31, 2011
On tap at Brugge... Pours a medium, mostly hazy, raspberry red hue and topped with a thin to medium soapy white head that quickly recedes... Tart strawberry and berry seed, some lacto sourness. Perky and somewhat sharp.... Mostly sweet redfruitiness, not berry, and finishes on a softer grainy note. Medium bodied with a decent level of carbonation. More swee than sour but generally enjoyable although doesn’t rank up there with other American wild sours.
4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 aasher (82) - Fishers, Indiana, USA - OCT 1, 2011
This blackberry wild (the sister beer of Pookah) was enjoyed at the brewpub. It pours a very bright and moderately clear red in color with a one finger light pink head. It smells of light berry sweetness with a touch of tartness. The tartness strengthens as the beer warms. It tastes of very fresh, sweet berries with a nice and light tart finish. The drinkability of this beer is through the roof. The flavors are multifaceted and overly appealing. It drinks so well and disappears too quickly. The flavors are so sharp that it makes your mouth water for the next sip. Top notch beer from Brugge. It really, really makes me look forward to trying Pookah.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Thorpe429 (3823) - Alexandria, Virginia, USA - SEP 28, 2011
On tap at Brugge Brasserie last weekend. Served in a tulip.
Pours a nice reddish-purple with a great white head that is slightly tinted with a bit of red. Good retention and a bit of lacing. Thin collar throughout. The nose was lightly tart with a bit of wheat and some blackberry character. The flavor took it to the next level, with a bit of wheat and grain coming in below tart berry character and a light lactic acidity. Light body with good carbonation and a dry, slightly-acidic finish. Really nicely done. Highly enjoyable.

On tap at GTMW - Pours rosy amber with a thin bubbly ring of head. Sweet and syrupy nose with the blackberry coming through. Not terribly tart. Taste is more of the same, a nice, fruity sour that starts tart and finishes sweet and yeasty. Smooth, slick and well-carbonated. Nice.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Tmoney99 (7299) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 25, 2011
GTMW 2011. Poured a clear raspberry color with a mostly lasted frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy sour, yeast and raspberry aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy tart fruit and sour flavor with a medium to heavy sweet & sour finish of moderate to long duration. This is a standout beer for style.
