Incredible balance. True European pils - hoppy, malty, dry. To call this a brewpub entry-level brew is insulting, because this one is amazingly good. This place is special.

Pours light yellow with a light, bubbly head. Strong aromatic and flavor qualities of honey, light citrus, understated hops and wheat. Moderate mouthfeel. This beer is probably one of the best Dortmunders I’ve had, although I’m new to them. Definitely gave me a sense of understanding regarding complexity.

Draft at The Brugge. pours a medium dark golden color that is highly opaque. A huge frothy white head sits nicely on top of this brew. Aroma is some sort of funky hop malt mixture that is slightly sweet to the nose. Flavor is yeasty and somewhat bland, but very drinkable. Carbonated mouthfeel and finishes crisp and refreshing. Not really into the pilsner styl, however I would get another for sure.

This draft brew from the brewery poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized mostly lasting white colored bubbles that left behind an excellent lacing. The body contained soft carbonation, was hazy and light yellow brown in color. Its aroma contained notes of slighly astringent malts and hops. Its mouth feel is initially tingly soft and smooth with a mellow palate and a medium thickness smooth crisp finish. Its flavor contained malty notes. A very average brew.

Draft at Brugge Brasserie. Small white head that mostly diminished, fine-small sized bubbles, very nice lacing, no visible carbonation, and a straw yellow hue. The aroma was malty, hoppy and sweet. Malty, sweet and lightly hoppy flavor. Smooth mouthfeel. Light body.
