Draft @ brewery. Belgian yeast, and tart berry aroma. I don’t really know what a boysenberry smells like, but this did smell like some sort of berry. Hazy deep rose with a small white head. Light banana, tart berry, slightly funky Belgian yeast, and light spicy flavor. Body on the light side of medium, moderate carbonation.

Draft. Wanted to really like this one,a boysenberry ale. It is a bit weak overall, nice boyseberry flavor but just a weaker sort of saison-like brew.

Draft at GTMW 12. Gotta say, I was disappointed by this one overall. Pours a hazed reddish copper with a thin head. The nose is lactic, fruity berry notes and caramel then an odd hit of acetone? A bit of heat. On tasting, it is on the sweeter side, medium bodied and dries out. Fruity overall, light acidity. Really odd beer.

On tap at GTMW - Pours rosy amber, hazy with no head. Nose is honey berry, real fruity and not sour at all. Taste is real sweet and fruity, not sour, with mineral and blackberry. Smooth and slick in the mouth, but thin. Looked forward to this, but pretty disappointing.

Sampled at the Midwest Belgian Beer Fest 2012 - Pours light amber with an off-white head. The aroma has lots of boysenberry and sweetness. Seems high on sugar and low on beer. Medium smooth rich body with a light amount of carbonation. The flavor starts with some spice, fruit, mild sourness and some malt and then turns into rich boysenberry pie filling that seems to have piths and all. The finish dries out a bit and has a very true berry taste. Nice beer, but would have rather had more sourness involved.

Sample from beer fest. Poured a reddish color with almost no head at all. Sweet aroma. Berries, fruit, and funk in there. Flavor was tart and sour. Berries, some spice, dark fruit. Finished tart and sour as well. Medium body. Not a bad little beer.

Draft sample at MWBBF. Pours a hazy amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of vegetal notes up front, along with berries, plastic, wood, caramel malts, and vanilla. The flavor also leads with veggies, wood, and earth, then caramel malts and vanilla, with berries late. Medium-bodied, with a funky, tart mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. This seems off to me. Not horrible, but off.

I loved this beer. A darker red-brown pour with no head. Aroma is sweet. Flavor is also very sweet with a nice sour bite. Very refreshing, natural flavor.

Sample from a growler. Pours a clear reddish amber color with a small off white head. Nose is tart berry, oak, hints of cherry with a very mild amount of yeast. The flavor has sweet and tart notes, tart berry, light cherry, oak with a soft finish. Overall, pretty good, but needs more flavor at the back end.

Pours grapefruit juice colored with a thin white head. Nose is hearty bready yeast, fresh flowers, some citrus including orange and grapefruit. Taste is puckering tart, lightly sweet. Palate is light and a cleansing tang. Too tart for me on its own, but paired with some of the cheeses they have, it works really nicely. Refreshing. Could replace your morning juice with breakfast :)
